Arvind Kejriwal vacates CM residence, former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader, has vacated his official residence’s at 6 Flagstaff Road after nine years. The Kejriwal family, including his wife Sunita, son, daughter, and parents, have now moved to a bungalow at 5 Ferozeshah Road, near Mandi House. The new residence is currently allotted to AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP, Ashok Mittal.
Before leaving the CM residence
the Kejriwal family received a heartfelt farewell from the staff. Kejriwal himself embraced the staff members as a gesture of appreciation for their support over the years. Sunita Kejriwal officially handed over the keys to a government official,
marking the end of an era for the family at the Flagstaff property.
The move came after Kejriwal resigned as Delhi’s chief minister
vowing to reclaim his position only after receiving what he called a “certificate of honesty” from the people of Delhi in the upcoming February Assembly elections. His resignation follows accusations by the BJP regarding corruption linked to the excise policy and the reconstruction of his previous CM residence.
The Kejriwal family carried out a traditional grih pravesh ceremony upon entering their new home. Kejriwal had earlier announced his intention to shift during the auspicious Navratri period,
which began on Thursday. Household items were transport in two mini trucks as they transition to their new bungalow.
Kejriwal, who was release on bail from Tihar Jail in September following his involvement in the excise policy case, now gears up for the next political chapter as Delhi approaches its Assembly elections in early 2024.
Conclusion
Arvind Kejriwal vacates CM residence move marks a symbolic shift as he prepares for a political comeback. His new home signifies not just a relocation,
but a moment of reflection ahead of the crucial Delhi Assembly polls.
