Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is currently in Hyderabad, filming his upcoming action thriller Sikandar movie alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Due to recent death threats allegedly from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, the actor is under a strict four-tier security setup at Hyderabad’s renowned Falaknuma Palace Hotel, which has been transformed into a “fortress” to ensure his safety. This month-long shooting schedule reflects the intense measures taken to protect Khan amid heightened security concerns.
Tightened Security at the Palace Hotel
Reports reveal that while filming in Hyderabad, Salman’s security is a top priority. Guests are still permit to stay at the luxurious Falaknuma Palace Hotel, but they must undergo multiple security checks to enter, especially near the areas where filming is taking place. Hotel staff also face rigorous screening protocols, ensuring no breaches in security. The production team has secured access to the entire hotel grounds, with only authorized individuals allowed entry after background checks.
A ‘Fortress’ Setup for Salman
According to a source close to the production team, the hotel has essentially transformed into a “fortress” for Salman. “There are three main sets for Sikandar; two are within Hyderabad, but the principal location remains the palace hotel. Even though filming is confin to specific sections, the production team has complete control over the hotel grounds,” the source explain. This setup not only safeguards the superstar but also ensures minimal disruptions during the shoot.
Enhanced Security for Guests and Staff
For hotel guests, an additional security layer involves two screenings—one the hotel staff and another by Salman’s personal security team. Guests and staff alike must adhere to strict protocols, with mandatory daily screenings and background checks. Only those with explicit permission can access the filming locations, and a no-swapping rule is enforce to maintain tight security.
Shera and the Elite Security Team
Salman’s long-time bodyguard, Shera, plays a pivotal role in overseeing the actor’s personal security, handpicking a specialized team of ex-paramilitary personnel. This team, coupled with a private security agency and additional support from both Hyderabad and Mumbai police, forms a formidable security setup. In total, around 50-70 security personnel accompany Salman throughout the day, ensuring his protection at all times.
Salman’s Upcoming Schedule: Da-Bangg Reloaded and More
After concluding his Hyderabad shoot, Salman is expect to fly to Dubai to kick off his Da-Bangg Reloaded tour. This international show promises to be another highlight for the 58-year-old actor, who continues to captivate global audiences with his performances.
